The 1.45x defense multiplier scales your total defense stat, directly reducing incoming damage per hit. In sustained fights and boss encounters, this translates to substantially more time alive — enabling more damage rotations and reducing potion consumption during grinding sessions.

A 10% cooldown reduction means your abilities come back faster after each use. For move-heavy builds (devil fruits or multi-skill sword styles), this directly increases your sustained DPS by allowing more casts per minute — especially impactful on moves with 8–15 second cooldowns.
