Starting point. +15% EXP Gain This is available as soon as you roll or obtain Fishman, with no upgrade cost required.
First upgrade. Sea Power: +20% DMG near water Also grants: +20% Max HP. Completing the V2 upgrade is recommended as soon as possible since the improvement in combat power is significant.
